PURSUING BACHELOR OF

LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE

UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA’S COLLEGE OF ENVIRONMENT + DESIGN

I am currently in my third year of study at the University of Georgia, pursuing a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture within the College of Environment + Design.

I am also completing minors in the areas of Environmental Design and Landscape Studies. I am an active participant in the Environmental Ethics and Sustainability Certificate programs.

Prior to starting at the University of Georgia, I had no idea what major I wanted to pursue, no idea what careers aligned with my interests, and no idea what landscape architecture was. After looking through the few open elective classes my first semester, I found myself enrolled in Introduction to Landscape Architecture. Before the semester was over, I declared my major, felt sure in what I wanted to do in the future, and found the perfect balance of nature, creativity, critical thinking, and problem solving. Landscape Architecture allows me to create change and gives me a sense of purpose in my work.
